Plate Replication

The Plate Replication workflow in Sample enables users to create one or more copies of an existing plate, with the option to include a dilution step either at the source or in the target plate. Replication is a fundamental plate processing operation used to create multiple plates from a single one, particularly useful for preparing multiple identical plates for parallel experiments, quality control, or distribution.

This process is essential for increasing the number of plates available for statistical analysis and ensuring reproducible experimental results.

With this workflow, you can:

  • Generate exact replicas of a plate for repeated assays or screenings.
  • Apply dilution steps during replication to achieve desired concentrations in the new plates.
  • Ensure complete traceability of all replication and dilution actions within Sample.
