Move & Dispose Container

The Move & Dispose Container utility workflow in Sample enables you to efficiently manage your laboratory inventory by moving containers—such as plates or vials to new locations or marking them for disposal. This helps keep storage areas organized and ensures that containers no longer needed for experiments are properly tracked and removed from active use.

When you dispose of a plate using this workflow, it is transferred to a designated garbage location. The barcode of a disposed plate cannot be reused in future jobs, nor can a new plate be registered with the same barcode. This ensures the integrity and traceability of your inventory records.
