Plate Serial Dilution
The Plate Serial Dilution workflow in Sample enables users to perform a series of dilutions across a plate, following either a predefined layout or a sequence of user-defined tasks. Serial dilution is a fundamental laboratory technique used to create a range of concentrations from a single stock solution, supporting applications such as dose-response assays, standard curve generation, and compound screening.
This workflow allows users to perform dilutions from well to well across a plate. Two modes of sample dilution are available:
- Dilution by row – the concentration gradient is created within the same row
- Dilution by column – the concentration gradient is created within the same column
With this workflow, you can:
- Automate the process of creating dilution series across wells
- Customize dilution layouts and steps to fit specific experimental requirements
- Use predefined dose layouts for standardized dilutions
- Create custom manual dilution tasks for specific needs
